Recovering Music

I picked up the following CDs on sunday:
Bob Marley & the Wailers - Legend (1984)
U2 - Joshua Tree (1987)
Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back (1988)
Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique (1989)

Those are the orginal release dates at the end. Not sure why but I just felt like I needed to have this music. The last time I owned a U2 album I liked, it was on casette tape. Same thing for Public Enemy. I've picked up old Bob Marley before, but always avoided the overplayed Legend album. The Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique album was their crossover album where they lost old fans and didn't gain many new ones. Check Your Head was more of of a shake-up between what they were and what they would become, but Paul's Boutique blended nicely.

All classics! I'd add Prince's "Sign of the Times" and maybe Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" and you'd have most of my all-time best list.
