Brake Fixed

Yesterday I broke my rear bicycle brake while adjusting it. One of the springs broke but I didn't realize how bad it was until I was half way to work. On my way home I stopped at 3 different bike shops, but none of them had the part, and it sounded like nobody. New brakes would only cost about $20, but I hate replacing things just because one little part is broken.

Today I decided to try one more place, Avenue Cyclery on Stanyan. A very helpful bike mechanic searched through new parts, and then through old parts and found a couple of old brake arms with springs that might work. Sure enough one did, and she charged me $5 for her trouble. I like it when things come together.
