Bike to Work Day

Today is Bike To Work Day in San Francisco, a day when cyclists can demonstrate how much better they are than everyone else.

On my normal commute I sometimes have to deal with other cyclists being mildly annoying but today takes the biscuit. At bike routes on Market and Folsom streets, stations were setup for cyclists to congratulate themselves on how wonderful they are, but in disregard for fellow cyclists they spilled into the street and blocked the bicycle lanes.

Pulling up to the red light at Market and 9th about 5 cyclists behind me decided to pull in front of me and jostle for position towards the front of the pack of 10-15 cyclists. I already passed some of these fools previously, and was moving faster than them, why do they think they need to get in my way again. Its simple common sense, if someone passes you on the street and then you come up to them at a red light, stay behind them so that they don't have to pass you again.

Yes, bicyclists not only think they are better than non-cyclists, they think they are better than each other.
