Saturday is a blur, my brother picked me up at Cork airport and took me straight to CastletownBere. Went out that night for a little bit to see people enjoying the festival. Sunday I spent the afternoon on the sea or beach. We were trying to get close to a pod of three young dolphins. After everyone else got tired I took a kayak out on my own and got fairly close. At least one of them started breaching and slamming down on it's side. It made me think it had something in its ear. Very nice.
Monday morning woke up after only 5 hours sleep and climbed hungry hill with my father and two ladies. For some strange reason my father has created a mound of quartz stone near the summit. On the way up he has put pieces of quartz along the way, a couple of which were quite heavy and cut my hands when I lifted them. I don't know why I think this is a fun project, must be some inclination towards fool's errands I've inherited from my father.
Monday afternoon was the regatta day and there were a lot of people watching races on the pier and drinking in the square. Naturally I spent a little time in the square, and plenty more time there later that night. Tuesday I was wrecked and spent the day recovering from a hangover and jet-lag.
It's wednesday afternoon and soon I'll depart for Dublin to catch up with friends there. Maybe I can get up to a little more mischief in Dublin...
