Cop Talk

An interesting article on Reason describes the kind of things american police officers are getting in trouble for online.

While it is disturbing to think of police officers harboring such anger and racism, they are human and have human flaws. Should something be done to prevent these police officers from interacting with the public? Should they be given help managing their hostility? Or are online forums an imperfect outlet that perhaps help them cope with their jobs?

There are two things I think need to change about law enforcement; lethal force should be used less often and a police officer should not expect citizens to comply with any order. Cops have a difficult job, and some people only show them respect when they need them, but they are supposed to uphold the law and protect citizens, even when they don't want to.
