The Green Fairy

Absinthe is legal again in the US, and apparently nobody was quite sure why Absinthe was banned. The drink is mostly hype, a strong liquor that has an ingredient, thujone, that is dangerous in large amounts. I've tried it and was never paid a visit by the green fairy, and never felt anything other than the intoxicating effects of consuming alcohol. Absinthe is just another drink, romanticized and made notorious by bohemians. For a less strong but still sweet drink, I'd recommend a good tawny port over a glass of absinthe any day.

I didn't get a visit from the green fairy either, but I just thought that I didn't have enough. Or that it wasn't really Absinthe.

They've watered it down to make it legal, no?

Anyway, I've no idea. I'm not supposed to be drinking any booze anyway :)

I think they just got a different variation on one of the ingredients(wormwood maybe) that has little or no thujone.

You can drink a little. A small glass of wine a day should not have any effect on your pregnancy.
