Harris' Restaurant

I ate at Harris' last night with seven friends. It is an old-fashioned steakhouse that I had never visited before. There is a dark lounge in front of you when you walk in the door, complete with big comfy chairs and a small band playing lounge music. Our band of eight got a nice little room to ourselves at the back.

The food was great. I tried Steak Diane, which is a filet mignon with a cognac and shallots sauce. It came with very tasty scallop potatoes. I really liked the two zinfandels we selected, the 2005 Marcucci Farms and the Turley Juvenile.

I'm not sure why, but I really wanted to find fault with Harris'. I even looked on yelp for negative reviews, but found few people with anything bad to say. I had a great time and loved the service and the food. The only downside was the price, but overall I think we got good value for our money.
